About me
Grateful to be from the Dominican Republic, I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and collaborated in promoting psychosocial and psychoeducational well-being at the Dios es Fiel Foundation while in DR. In this role, I have provided comprehensive support services to individuals with substance use disorders, with a particular focus on drug dependence and alcoholism. This work has allowed me to develop strong cultural sensitivity, empathy, and a deep understanding of the structural and systemic barriers faced by individuals throughout the recovery process.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Ana G. Méndez University and currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work. This field inspires me because it integrates scientific knowledge with a humanistic, ethical, and social commitment to supporting individuals, families, and communities experiencing vulnerability.
My direct experience with individuals affected by alcohol use disorders has been central to my professional development. These experiences have reinforced my vocation for service and my commitment to clinical social work. I view each recovery journey not only as a therapeutic process, but also as an opportunity to restore hope, functionality, and overall quality of life.
